My original idea was to tell you about my adventure battling the system to get a motorcycle license here in Sweden, all in chronological order. After starting the work on that I quickly decided I would instead summarize what I have learned from it all, things that might not always be in the books or explained very often or in detail. I figured such a publication might actually be useful to someone! Thus, I am here providing a fairly informative guide for how to ride a motorcycle!

A disclaimer though, I am not a teacher and when I wrote parts of this I had only had my license for a month. I started riding in May 2011 but before getting my license in October the same year I managed to do 1600 kilometers of mixed private training and twenty hours of traffic school lessons. Wow, twenty hours? Well that’s another story, the actual story, you’ll have to ask me in person for that or wait for an eventual blog post.

The first parts will be very basic stuff, how to get started and how to technically control a motorcycle, this while skipping most traffic laws and other things that will vary between countries. I will try to add tables of contents and such to the documents, just keep in mind this is a work in progress.
